Biography
Marina Sirtis lahir di London, Inggris, kepada orang tua Yunani, Despina( Yanniri), asisten penjahit, dan John Sirtis. Orangtuanya tidak ingin dia menjadi seorang aktris. Segera setelah Marina menyelesaikan SMA, dia diam-diam mendaftar ke Sekolah Musik dan Drama Guildhall. Setelah kelulusannya, dia bekerja di teater musik, pertunjukkan dan televisi. Pada tahun 1986, dia pindah ke Los Angeles, California untuk meningkatkan karirnya. Selama enam bulan, dia mengikuti audisi tapi tidak berhasil. Tepat sebelum dia berencana pulang, dia mendapat peran konselor Deanna Troi di Star Trek: Generasi berikutnya (1987). Setelah seri berakhir, dia menunda perannya dalam serangkaian film Star Trek: Generasi Star Trek (1994), Star Trek: kontak pertama (66), Star Trek: Insurrection (Nemesis), dan Star Trek: 2002; 2002.
